Description
SGI Club at Chapman University organized a week long event and hosted the exhibit named Transforming The Human Spirit which aims to raise awareness about nuclear weapons and encourage more involvement. At the opening ceremony we had a panel with Shigeko Sasamori survivor of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb, among other professors and activists. After the panel we opened the floor for questions and many different students got to inquire as well as share personal stories or impressions. Throughout the rest of the week we collaborated with Global Zero and put on workshops with students on grassroots movements and discussions using President Ikeda's prompt "What is the atomic bomb in your heart?"
